Things to do when you are jobless

Being jobless not only hurts financially but for some people, it also affects their self-esteem.

After all, no one likes to be terminated from a job that they used to introduce themselves at parties and social functions.

So, if you are jobless, the first thing you need to do is not lose hope.

The second thing to do is have your own perspective of what you want to do next.

If you think taking a career break for 15 days to 3 months will not affect your finances majorly and things are manageable, then have a to-do list for the same.

If you think you want a job immediately, then don't feel shy to call your friends who are working in different companies. After all, a friend in need is a friend indeed.

Search for jobs actively by updating your CV and cover letter on job websites and have a positive mindset while preparing and appearing for the interview.

Even if the economic situation is bad and you are not being shortlisted for a long time, don't take it personally.

Upgrading your skills and competencies with what is trending in your industry along with being clear about the basics of your profession will be of some assistance in improving your job search.
