In the 22nd December 2023 episode of Chookar Mere Mann Ko / Chhoo Kar Mere Mann Ko, Shona goes with Mishka to Deepa's home in between her school periods.
Rupa gets worried of Shona's well-being and calls Lavanya by taking help of her school principal. Lavanya and Joy take Rupa to Deepa's home to find out that they are not there.
Suraj and Deepa had gone to attend a wedding in a nearby place in the same village where Suraj talks about the importance of treating dark-skinned women equally as fair-skinned women.
He preaches the groom's family about the wrong practice of discriminating women based on color.
Suraj and Deepa manage the situation and make the groom's family realize their mistake. Then they enjoy the marriage-related function and meals.
Back at Deepa's home, Shona keeps searching for Suraj and her mom as claimed by Mishka. Lavanya comes and tells Mishka to mind her own business otherwise she will have to face her wrath.
Lavanya tells Shona that her parents have gone for work and here is no one. Just then she tells Joy to remove all the evidence that Suraj is staying there.
However, Deepa and Suraj enter their home when the kids are not around. Before Joy could tell them to leave, Rupa and Shona come back and find out Deepa and Suraj together.
Deepa manages the situation by saying to kids that Suraj has important official work and he has come here as his car has broken down.
Rupa and Shona enjoy the family moments with Suraj and Deepa and also sleep together.
Urmi feels anxious thinking that Deepa will make a comeback if things settle between her and Suraj. So, she calls Mishka asking her to make another plan to separate Deepa and Suraj.
Deepa the next day burns her fingers while serving tea to Suraj. However, Suraj helps her out and also applies sindoor on her forehead.
Deepa requests Suraj that she has no fault in spoiling her married life as she has always been honest with him.
Suraj also become emotional. However, Tabla gets manipulated by Mishka to come to Deepa's home in the form of a Baba.
Just when he blesses the couple for a happy marital life, Mishka shows that the Baba is none other than Tabla and it is his house that Deepa has been staying all this while. Tabla warns him not to trust Mishka's words and repeat his same old mistakes.
Suraj gets disturbed thinking that Deepa has lied to him again and gets into an argument with Deepa.
Deepa asks him to leave her home and that she will never give him divorce for the next 7 births.
Suraj gets angry on Deepa and goes to Sengupta home to tell his family members how he always gets cheated by Deepa but Mishka saves him.
Lavanya and Prabir try to make Suraj understand but he doesn't listen to any of his family members.
Back at Deepa's home, Rupa asks Deepa for a photo of her dad as she has to submit in school but due to fight with Suraj, she removes all her frustration on Rupa.
Seeing both the mother and daughter fight, Shona says she would like to go back to her dad.
Rupa feels sad and goes to sleep while Shona meets Suraj and calms him down.
Shona gets manipulated by Mishka that she needs to have her own mother rather than depending on Deepa for getting motherly love.
At Deepa's home, Rupa tries to question Deepa again about the identity of her father as she wants to know the same.
Deepa doesn't reply her and leaves for a walk. Rupa finds out Deepa's Aadhaar card from her suitcase and gets to know that Suraj Sengupta is her father and she takes a rickshaw to meet her dad.
