Guru Nanak Ji discouraged materialism. It means he taught to live a simple and wise life.
He taught people to do seva, which means to help people in need and share whatever you can.
He taught people to prepare financially and cut down on unnecessary expenses.
He taught people to focus on our own life's goals than chasing materialistic dreams.
