In the 6th December 2023 episode of Chookar Mere Mann Ko, Deepa is shocked to know that Shona is Suraj's daughter. She considers Suraj to be married with Mishka and Shona to be their daughter unaware that Shona is her own biological child.
Suraj is shown to be bonding with Rupa over a phone conversation that makes Shona jealous of Rupa.
On the other hand, Deepa hides herself in the kitchen of Sengupta's new house as she doesn't want to meet Suraj who will again criticize and defame her.
Shona wants Suraj to meet her PhoolMaa but Lavanya stops them and tells them that PhoolMaa is a shy lady and doesn't meet unknown men.
Suraj without seeing her, thanks Phoolmaa for taking care of Shona so well in many instances.
Suraj then leaves and Mishka tries to meet Phoolmaa but Lavanya stops her again.
Lavanya gives gifts and money to Deepa and says it is for her granddaughter that Deepa is raising. Deepa resists but accepts when Lavanya tells her it is her right and motherly love.
Shona packs a tiffin box and tells Deepa to take it for her daughter, unaware that it is Rupa only.
Suraj tastes the food and finds it to be made by Deepa. However, Lavanya says any lady who cooks with love can make such food items and he shouldn't always keep bringing up the topic of Deepa.
Suraj avoids eating the food. Whereas, Rupa feels happy to receive the gifts and finds that the food has a lot of spice in it. She tells Deepa who understands her cooking mistake.
Lavanya plans to organize a flower competition so that Deepa can participate and win the prize money.
Rupa on her way to school finds a poster of the competition and collects flowers.
On her way, she meets Lavanya and Shona going to school in a car. Both Rupa and Shona get into a funny banter. Lavanya feels happy seeing them.
Deepa visited the hospital where she was treated. Suraj also arrives there and finds her lying when the nurse asks why Suraj is visiting the hospital when it was his own wife whom he treated.
To cover up their problems, Deepa lies to the nurse that they just fought now and that's why he has come to the hospital to enquire.
Seeing her address as Suraj's wife, Suraj gets angry and leaves.
Outside the hospital, Suraj argues with Deepa about why she keeps spreading lies about her marital status with others.
Deepa defends that she never lied as she considers her marriage with Suraj still valid and an eternal bond.
Suraj gets confused looking at Deepa's confidence who keeps asserting that she never made any mistake and never lied.
Suraj goes home with Shona to find out the entire family has gone to attend an international flower competition.
Mishka also follows him when she is unable to find the reports of the DNA test in Suraj's room as it is locked.
After getting convinced by Rupa, Deepa attends the flower competition so that she can win the money to save for Rupa's future.
Rupa on the other hand wants Deepa to win the contest so that she can get treated in a timely manner.
Rupa and Shona meet outside the venue and again start fighting in a cute manner that Suraj witnesses.
Deepa makes a flower arrangement that Mishka spoils deliberately. Deepa gets disturbed but recollecting her daughter's enthusiasm, she continues with her flower arrangement and makes another one.
Her new flower arrangement shows a child studying under a tree.
Lavanya and the judges are unaware of who made the arrangement but like it and consider it to be announced as the first-prize winner.
Lavanya announces the winners. However, Mishka spoils the mind of one contestant saying that Lavanya would give first prize to Deepa because she is her daughter-in-law.
The contestants protest against the results of the contest and blame Lavanya for nepotism and biased results.
