In the recent episodes of Teri Meri Doriyaann, it is shown how Angad Singh Brar gets to know that his ex-wife Sahiba Kaur Brar who is now Sahiba Kaur Panesar had given birth to his child Akeer six years back.
Unable to accept the fact that he was unaware of the information given to him by Sahiba in two incidents, Angad blames Sahiba and Diljeet for conspiring against him to keep his own child away from him for so many years.
In a turn of events, Garry kidnaps Akeer by attracting him as his Secret Dost and keeps him in an abandoned place in uncomfortable conditions for a small child.
Garry's intentions behind the kidnapping was he wanted to unite Sahiba and Angad with their child Akeer.
However, the intentions are so irrational as it put a 5-year-old child in a mental trauma to be away from his parents without any good communication and behavior from the person whom he trusted as a Secret Dost.
Now thinking about Garry's character evolution, we can hardly expect more humanity or empathy from him considering he was quite a good villain in the last year of the series.
Suddenly turning into a bro for his elder brother won't really help him get rid of his immature thinking.
But when it comes to Angad, he was always shown as the eldest son of the family who puts his family first over everything, including himself.
So, when his dad passed away and he considered Sahiba to be the only reason for the miscarriage of his first child, that was a trauma of a son grieving from the losses of his family members.
However, when Sahiba left him because he asked her to leave, he could have simply searched for her in the last six years even for once to know about her whereabouts.
Because after marriage, even a wife becomes an important family member.
And now when he has got to know that Akeer is his and Sahiba's child, he still blames Sahiba for being unaware of this important fact.
And moreover, now he wants to claim the rights of being Akeer's father, disrespecting Sahiba and Diljeet's sacrifices for raising the child over the past six years.
How come a father be so arrogant or let's say ignorant to show even gratitude to people who took care of his child for so many years like their own?
Sahiba Kaur Panesar is a mother and she has all the rights over her child, whether she raised Akeer single-handedly or marrying Diljeet, or living in with Diljeet to protect Akeer.
Questioning Sahiba for being a careless mother and also taunting her for marrying Diljeet is the worst thing that Angad has done so far in the series.
Angad's characterization is so bad that the makers should have tagged him as the villain in the story rather than the main lead or hero because no real-life heroes lack empathy, sympathy, and humanity.
Here Angad has no respect, no love, no understanding, no empathy, and no human-like feelings for Sahiba whom he once mentioned how he loved so dearly.
Angad's dialogues are really poorly written so much so that it feels like Vijayendra Kumeria is asked to act like a robot who will act like a puppet of his egoistic and arrogant mother and always keep blaming his wife for all the misfortunes that happen in his life.
Good-looking actors are wasted in the show just because of the sadistic writing and no good message or takeaway from the story.
Just for TRPs, if makers or writers of the show can keep changing the characterizations of the lead actors, then it is a waste of time, which loyal viewers like us won't tolerate anymore.
For good, I stopped watching the serial today after I saw Sahiba getting arrested on the basis of Manveer's police complaint.
I am done with giving enough chances to save its grace since the times the makers or writers didn't live up to the basic expectations of viewers.
Yeah, there were good moments in the show Teri Meri Doriyaann since it was aired in 2023 but with such a poor plot structure and the allegations ending nowhere with no love or affection left between the leads, I feel the series should have ended way back when Sahiba was proved innocent after Rumi's kidnapping and Seerat's misunderstanding.
