Aamir Khan's Tennis Revelations and Wimbledon 2024 Insights

Wimbledon 2024 is seeing Bollywood stars add to the glamor, with Aamir Khan currently in London for the event. 

Aamir revealed a surprising connection to tennis, mentioning that he used to play and was once the Maharashtra State Champion at the junior level. 

However, he stopped playing when his father suggested it, stating that he's content with where he is now.

During a chat with former tennis player Vijay Amritraj on Star Sports India, Aamir reminisced about his tennis days, expressing that he had enjoyed playing tennis but had stopped one day because his father suggested it. 


He indicated that he feels content with where he is now and considers it perhaps fortunate that he didn't continue.


This isn't Aamir's first time at Wimbledon; he attended the Men's Final last year with his children Junaid, Ira Khan, and Azad, describing it as a wonderful experience. 


Reflecting on watching tennis live, he shared that watching it on TV is one thing, but live, one feels the speed of the game and the skill of the players. 


He added that it's a whole different experience.


Discussing rising star Carlos Alcaraz, Aamir praised his skill, noting that when he watches Alcaraz play, he seems to reach impossible shots. 


He remarked that it's hard to close a point with him; he really makes his opponents work.


Regarding his work, Aamir mentioned that his last film, Laal Singh Chaddha, released in 2022, didn't do well at the box office. 


He noted that his upcoming project is Sitare Zameen Par, scheduled for release in December.
