Amitabh Bachchan is back at it again, starting the 16th season of his popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
The legendary actor, who has been the face of the show almost every year since its inception in 2000, shared some behind-the-scenes moments and couldn't hide his excitement.
In a black-and-white photo posted on X (formerly Twitter), Amitabh is seen on the KBC set with his arms wide open.
He captioned it, “BACK to KBC 16th season.” Another fun picture shows him running through the show's corridor, with the caption, “Yes back and still no change in routine - the run is on.”
Amitabh's posts on Thursday evening confirmed his return to filming, just a day after rumors started circulating.
On Wednesday, he had hinted at his comeback with a tweet saying, “There is nothing quite as rewarding as work .. just back after a long day's work .. and so invigorating!”
He added, “Work has taken long hours and tomorrow is again early so .. till tomorrow.”
Fans were delighted but also a bit confused. One fan jokingly asked, “Why did you make us so emotional last year then?”
Another commented, “Amazing, the Goat is back,” while some mentioned they thought he had retired from the show.
The confusion stems from Amitabh’s emotional speech during the last episode of KBC 15.
With tears in his eyes, he had said, “Ladies and gentlemen, now it’s time to go as the stage won’t be the same. It’s difficult to let everyone know that we won’t be returning here from tomorrow.”
He even added, “For the last time, I am bidding you all goodbye from this show, goodnight.” Many fans took this as his farewell from KBC.
