Nag Ashwin's sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD has hit a big milestone.
Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, the movie has earned ₹1000 crore worldwide in just 15 days.
The news was confirmed by trade analyst Ramesh Bala on X (formerly Twitter) and the official Vyjayanthi Movies handle, which earlier reported the film had made ₹945 crore by July 8.
Released on June 27, Kalki 2898 AD faced no major competition initially.
However, with Shankar’s Indian 2 (Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu) releasing on July 12, it will be interesting to see if this impacts its earnings.
This new release also stars Kamal Haasan and is a sequel to his 1996 film, Indian.
