Melbourne Film Festival Welcomes Superstar Ram Charan!

Get ready for a celebration of Indian cinema down under!

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) just announced a mega star guest for their 15th edition – the one and only Ram Charan!

Ram Charan is a powerhouse in Indian film industry. He's smashed box office records, charmed audiences worldwide, and even helped bring home an Oscar (that's a big deal!) for the song "Naatu Naatu" from his hit movie RRR.

No wonder the IFFM is excited to have him as the Guest of Honour this year, happening from August 15th to 25th, 2024.

Ram Charan himself is thrilled to be part of the festival. "It's a huge honor to represent Indian cinema on a global stage," he said.

"The love for RRR has been incredible, and I can't wait to share it with the Melbourne audience!"

The IFFM Festival Director, Mitu Bhowmick Lange, is equally pumped.

"Ram Charan's a true star who's raised the bar for Indian cinema," she said. "We're so happy to welcome him and celebrate his achievements!"

Here's the extra cherry on top: Ram Charan won't just be a guest.

He'll also be named "Ambassador for Indian Art and Culture" for his amazing contributions to film.

Plus, the festival will be showcasing some of his most iconic movies – a fantastic way to see his incredible journey as an actor.

And Ram Charan isn't slowing down! He's got a whole slate of new projects coming up, including "Game Changer" with Kiara Advani and "RC17" directed by the awesome Sukumar.

This is shaping up to be an amazing Indian Film Festival in Melbourne!
