Sonakshi Sinha Talks About New Film 'Kakuda' and Career Choices

Sonakshi Sinha returned to work after her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal last month. 

In an interview with The Indian Express, she talked about her latest release Kakuda, which is releasing on ZEE5 today. 

She mentioned that she is open to working in different genres and expressed her reluctance towards roles in films that only feature two songs and four scenes. 

When asked about the challenges of having less to do in mainstream films, she commented that it's a positive thing for her. 

She expressed her preference for substantial and significant roles, citing her experience in Akira (2016) as pivotal in her career graph. 

She expressed enjoyment in this phase of her career and welcomed more opportunities like these.

Regarding Kakuda, she described how she found the script entertaining despite her usual aversion to horror films. 

She praised director Aditya Sarpotdar for his mastery of the genre, noting his ability to effectively blend scares with humor. 

She emphasized that working on Kakuda was a departure from her comfort zone and expressed a desire to explore similar projects in the future.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who previously directed Munjya, Kakuda is a horror comedy featuring Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. 

It marks Sonakshi's second release of the year following her appearance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix India series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
