I was called back then by a founder of a website company who asked me to talk for a few minutes on what I know about content.
As the
founder looked puzzled on how to improve his dormant website with less pay, I
asked him the first question – Are you really interested in making money or you
just want to do something for the online readers?
His answer
was both. So, my immediate response to him was to be patient when you are designing
a content strategy.
Google and
for that matter, any search engine, is a huge company that has several blogs
going live on a daily basis.
Why blogs
fail because they follow the strategy of others blindly without having any
innovation or idea of their own.
When it
comes to creating and sustaining a blog, one has to come up with original
content.
So, what is
original content basically? The content that you write on your own without
getting influenced by the information that is published already online or
offline.
You may
read several blogs and articles but at the end of the day, when you are writing
and publishing on your own blog, it has to be your thoughts that should come as
a human voice speaking to others.
That’s the
reality of original content. No plagiarism checker is required if you have written
the content from your own mind and nowhere else.
