In the 20th December 2023 episode of Kyunki... Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai, Ambika and Kesar compliment each other for being the best daughter-in-law and mother-in-law and they think that let the world also enjoy such cute relations.
Ambika becomes emotional the next day thinking about Sooraj's hidden truth and says to herself that she has to know what he is hiding to protect her daughter Kesar and not think as a mother-in-law.
Kesar meets an employee at her home where she sees Sooraj taking care of her. Sooraj tells the employee to not let her child go away from her as they will learn many worldly things but they will never know what is right and wrong.
Kesar thinks about the conversation and relates it with Sooraj's childhood as he was sent away from the Rajgaur house due to Ambika's promise to herself to raise Kesar as a daughter and marry her with her son.
Ambika prays to Goddess and wonders how she will get clues of Sooraj's past. Just then Kabir arrives home and she finds a ray of hope.
Ambika requests Kabir to help her to know the hidden facts of Sooraj's past. Ambika tells Kabir that she feels Sooraj is hiding something from her.
Ambika tells that probably there is a trouble that is bothering Sooraj or he is hiding something from his past incidents that happened in London.
She tells Kabir that she wants to know the truth anyhow.
Sooraj enters the Rajgaur house and listens to their conversations and feels angry.
Ambika asks Kabir if he will help her out in uncovering the past of Sooraj. She tells that this is for the future of Kesar that she wants to know about Sooraj.
Just then Sooraj tells Ambika in his imagination that he has lost respect towards his mother because since childhood, she has been always biased towards him as she has always been a good mother for Kesar. Sooraj calls Ambika as a terribly failed mother and Kabir looks at him with shock. Sooraj's imagination breaks when he himself throws a flower vase down in the dream.
Coming back to reality, Kabir agrees to Ambika and promises to find out the hidden facts of Sooraj's past and inform her.
Ambika tells Kabir that no one else from the family including Kesar should know about this matter of searching truth of Sooraj's past.
Kabir assures Ambika that he will not let anyone else know and will find the truth of Sooraj's past.
Sooraj hides himself as he listens to the entire conversation.
He tells to himself that Ambika can keep planning anything with Kabir but he will not let Kesar get rid of him as he aims to destroy Kesar's life by marrying with her.
Ambika keeps searching from albums if she can get any clue. Baa tells why she is anxious about Sooraj and Kesar's marriage. Ambika tells that she just wants everything to go fine. Baa tells that concerns about the marriage will be there till the marriage gets over.
