In the 20th December 2023 episode of Chookar Mere Mann Ko / Chhoo Kar Mere Mann Ko (Hindi dubbed serial of Anurager Chhowa), Suraj explains to the ailing Deepa that it is for the betterment of both the partners, they should go for a mutual divorce agreement.
Deepa requests Suraj to not ask for a divorce as she has given him the freedom by living separately.
Suraj says that is not sufficient as he now wants to enjoy his full time with Shona and see his grow up with a lot of love and affection without Deepa's involvement.
Deepa listens to all the justifications of Suraj.
Suraj's parents think that now things are getting settled as Suraj is caring for Deepa despite asking for a divorce.
However, Suraj tells them that Deepa is only his patient and nothing else.
Deepa and Suraj reach court where Suraj tells that he wants a mutual divorce from Deepa. However, Deepa tells she doesn't want to break the marriage.
Rupa and Shona are back at Sengupta home thinking about their respective parents.
The judge announces that Suraj and Deepa have to live together for six months before the further proceedings of the divorce because there are still some matters left in the marriage.
Suraj stays at Deepa's house where Mishka comes with outside food that Suraj doesn't like. Later at night, he eats food cooked by Deepa as he feels hungry.
Mishka gets taunted by the neighbors who tell her not to bother the couple anymore.
Deepa and Suraj try to adjust with each other under the same roof but they miss their children Rupa and Shona.
On the other hand, Rupa and Shona try to sleep without their parents by singing songs.
Seeing them sleep peacefully with each other, Lavanya tells to herself that soon there will be a time when their parents will also be here with them and they will all live happily.
Suraj and Deepa go to meet Rupa and Shona at school. The children enquire how come their parents have come together to meet at the school.
