In the 3rd January 2024 episode of Chookar Mere Mann Ko / Chhoo Kar Mere Mann Ko, Suraj feels anxious when Shona questions him if Deepa and Suraj are married.
Suraj doesn't have an answer and Deepa looks shocked. Rupa tries to talk to Shona who tells her that Deepa and Suraj are already married and she is Suraj's daughter.
Suraj then looks at the newspaper article where there is a marriage photo of Suraj and Deepa.
Rupa apologizes to Shona that she knew about Suraj and Deepa's marriage and that she is their daughter but Suraj doesn't want to accept her as his daughter.
Shona feels shocked to know how Suraj is not only mistreating Deepa but also not giving the right to Rupa.
Shona cries a lot seeing Suraj's behavior and Suraj becomes really angry on Deepa.
Suraj asks Deepa to leave the house and Rupa tells not to talk to Deepa like that always.
Shona feels lonely and doesn't talk to anyone and goes to her room and keeps crying.
Rupa tries to comfort Shona and tells that she has the whole Sengupta family to support her.
Shona asks her will things be really fine in the long run and Rupa reassures the same.
Deepa brings Shona to the hall room where Joy and all family members try to cheer up Shona by showing her childhood photos.
Rupa feels Shona has got the love of Suraj and all her family members but still she feels sad.
Just when everyone is happy, Suraj asks Deepa to leave the house.
Palak asks Suraj why has he changed so much and Lavanya also asks Suraj why he keeps repeating his negative drama again and again.
Palak tells Suraj to find out a solution. Suraj tells if Deepa apologizes to him and accepts her mistake, he won't mind accepting her as his wife and forgetting the past for the children's sake.
Urmi says she will talk to Deepa and Palak also joins her. Deepa comforts both Rupa and Shona to calm down and not bother much.
Urmi asks Deepa to accept her mistake at least for the sake of her children. Palak also tells she just has to agree to Suraj's mythical story so that Rupa's future is bright.
Deepa feels hurt and makes Urmi recollect about her past behavior in which she and Ratna had questioned her character.
Deepa tells she has always stood for herself whenever someone had questioned her about self-respect and her character.
Lavanya also supports Deepa in her decision and says she will wait for the right time to come as the problems in the house are due to Suraj's thoughts about Deepa.
Shona comes out of her room along with Rupa and Deepa changes the topic.
Later, Deepa gets gifted with jewelry and sarees by Palak and Urmi and Lavanya tells her to accept the same. Suraj looks on while the three ladies of the house are talking to each other.
Deepa refuses to take the expensive jewelry and sarees and she will go for a normal saree to wear for the evening function.
Rupa also says that she will not take the frocks given to her by Lavanya and other family members.
But Deepa convinces Rupa that she should always take the gifts given to her by elders.
Suraj feels good to see Deepa not being greedy.
Deepa tells Rupa that she need not worry of the future as one day everything will be fine. Seeing the mother and daughter's affection, Shona feels lonely.
Shona tells to herself that Rupa has her entire family but Shona doesn't even know who her parents are.
But by that time, Deepa sees her and tells she will leave the house if she is always upset like this. Shona stops her and tells her she need not go anywhere as she wants her Phoolmaa with her.
Seeing Shona's sadness, Deepa, Urmi, and Suraj act as if how the party will be canceled because Shona is not feeling good.
However, Shona cheers up and says not to cancel the party.
Shona and Rupa dress up like fairies and ask Joy, Palak, Urmi to click photos with them.
Suraj feels good when he sees Deepa dressed in a beautiful saree.
Joy appreciates Deepa's good looks and Suraj keeps staring at her.
Suraj excuses himself to attend a online call. However, Rupa stops him and asks him to enjoy the party.
Suraj doesn't eat food and Shona feels sad for Suraj.
She feeds Suraj food and Suraj thinks to himself how Shona has not changed his affection for him but he feels the distance.
Shona asks Deepa to feed her and Suraj also doesn't stop her.
Everyone have their meals happily.
After the party, Suraj thinks to himself how he would also not wear his wristwatch as a dedication to Deepa's simplicity despite having rights over all material possessions of the Senguptas.
Just then he gets a call from Mishka who tells him to meet him near his house.
Mishka finds out how Suraj hasn't worn his wristwatch and while he narrates the reason, Deepa feels surprised.
When Mishka hugs Suraj and tries to manipulate him again, Deepa slaps her hard.
Deepa asks her to leave the house as she doesn't want any other woman to hug her husband.
Suraj gets into an argument with Deepa but Prabir supports and appreciates Deepa for her decision.
Suraj looks on and leaves the place and Mishka also feels dejected.
Prabir warns Deepa that probably Mishka is planning something major that she needs to be aware of.
However, Deepa tells Prabir not to worry much.
An emotional Suraj goes to Shona and Rupa while they are sleeping and tells them that they are his life and even though they have no blood relations, he still wants to create a beautiful future with them. He wants to care them and live happily with them.
Deepa overhears all this and feels emotional seeing Suraj being so affectionate with his children.
Deepa then thinks to herself how if ego goes away from each one of the family members, then everyone would live happily.
The next day Deepa prepares herself to send Rupa and Shona to school so that she can go to her work afterward.
However, Prabir stops her to work and asks her if she has any lack in the house.
Deepa tells she wants to earn to make a living and for her self-respect just like how Lavanya is a self-made woman.
Suraj looks on at Deepa's self-belief towards having a career.
Ratna meets Mishka to make her understand how she can separate Suraj from Rupa and Shona by sending them to a boarding school.
This way, Mishka can get more closer to Suraj and enjoy her time with him and Deepa's chapter will also get closed because Shona won't be there at home.
Suraj drops Shona and Rupa to school. He meets Mishka there who tries to convince him to send his kids away from him.
Back at home, Urmi tries to keep Deepa busy as Pratik, Palak, Joy, and other family members try to set up a nursery for Deepa at Sengupta home only.
Chookar Mere Mann Ko is aired on Star Plus and streamed on Disney+ Hotstar. It is the Hindi dubbed serial of Bengali serial Anurager Chhowa.
