Anya was deep in a project, her mind focused on meeting the tight deadline.
The office was buzzing with activity as usual, when suddenly, a young woman burst into her cubicle.
"Bhabhi, I'm here to meet Varun," she announced, her voice echoing through the quiet space.
Anya was taken aback. Bhabhi? Was she being mistaken for Varun's fiancée or girlfriend?
A wave of annoyance washed over her.
She had never entertained any romantic feelings for Varun, and the thought of being associated with him in such a way was infuriating.
Before she could respond, Varun himself appeared, his expression a mix of surprise and amusement.
"Priya, what are you doing here?" he asked, his voice calm and collected.
"I came to meet you, of course," Priya replied, her eyes darting between Varun and Anya.
"I thought you told me you were getting married soon. Is this her?"
Anya felt her face flushing with embarrassment.
She couldn't believe that Varun had led Priya to believe that they were involved.
Varun quickly intervened, explaining the misunderstanding.
He apologized to Anya for the confusion and assured Priya that he was not in a relationship.
Anya was grateful for Varun's swift action.
He had handled the situation with grace and professionalism, defusing the tension and preventing further embarrassment.
She couldn't deny that she was impressed by his composure.
As the woman left, Anya couldn't help but feel a strange mix of emotions.
She was still angry at Varun for his earlier behavior, but she was also starting to see a different side of him.
Perhaps he wasn't as arrogant and self-centered as she had initially thought.
